Q&A
Q1, Vol. 1, Issue 21
I need information on solar
cell output for a 50,000-square-foot set-up. Also, any information
on windmills to tie these together.
--David Regehr
A1, Vol. I, Issue 21
The square foot will
produce something in excess of 10 watts. Therefore, 50K square
feet will produce 500KW of power depending on the size of the panel
chosen. It will hold approximately 4,000
120W panels.
The wind generators would be the wind-farm type, costing
approximately $70,000 each. I have no access to the specifics of
generators that large. We service homestead-type installations.
